A rare moment of Donald Trump’s bare face was captured on camera as the U.S. President stepped out to play golf on June 1. Aside from his administration’s controversial moves, the Republican leader has gained some popularity for his makeup, which is usually just an orange hue.
Trump likes to appear in public, posing a skin tone that is never really seen naturally otherwise. He isn’t just fond of basking in the artificial glow of a tanning bed but also likes to use makeup here and there. He is also known for often going overboard with it.
However, what’s more shocking than his orange face is his makeup-free look. Those rare glimpses, like when he hits the golf club without his usual bronzer, reveal that the President has an unusual amount of redness on his bare face.
On Sunday, Trump spent some quality time with golf at the Trump National Club, practicing and competing with a pro golfer. For the occasion, he brought his MAGA cap along but seemingly forgot his bronzer at home. Even from under the big cap, his pale skin was exposed, which he usually conceals with that bizarre orange hue. On this day, in contrast to his white cap, his face appeared quite red. The circles around his eyes were also seen, and some may think that it was the result of having protective eyewear on during his recent tanning session.
Donald Trump has rosacea, so the natural scarlet hues on his makeup-free face could be easily explained, as per Nicki Swift. This skin condition causes an unusual redness on a person’s face. However, it is to be noted that in his recent medical report, shared by the White House from his annual examination, his physician mentioned that the redness on his face was well-managed.

While rosacea does explain the scarlet hues around his nose and apple of the cheeks, it still doesn’t answer why the whole of his face appeared so red during his recent golfing session.
Meanwhile, as his bare face made another rare appearance, it was confirmed why he felt a need to cover up with makeup. But why the bizarre and unnatural orange hue? We would probably never know.
For now, all we can say is that this just adds to Trump’s most unflattering makeup-free outings. In 2025, we have been lucky enough to take a peek at his bare-face appearances quite a few times now. Earlier in March, during a gathering with Elon Musk, he was seen without his usual makeup. His unfiltered look created quite a stir on various social media platforms.
