Ever since Laura Loomer and Donald Trump were spotted together, their relationship has been a bit complicated. Loomer is an outspoken conservative commentator with several controversial opinions. She has been by Trump’s side even when she does not hold a cabinet position in the administration.
There have been rumors about the two having an affair or how she stays at the White House when Melania is not present. But the two have denied them. Laura even said on a podcast that the rumors are baseless. The rumors started when she was traveling with Trump on his personal plane and visiting the 9/11 memorial.
Even the liberal press quickly denied the rumors to protect the two. As per Laura, she’s a hardworking woman and would not resort to sexual favors. There might be truth to their story, as Trump obviously won’t want to impact his second term as the president. However, he does consider Laura’s opinions when it comes to hiring and firing people.

His decisions are based on what Laura discusses. She talked about the NSA advisor Mike Waltz, who was a part of the leaked Signal chat. So, he was let go from his position along with other council members. Even though Trump confirmed the decision was only his, Loomer hinted that she was involved too.
When it was time to hire Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, Loomer made a point that she was pro-vaccine. Therefore, Trump withdrew the nomination and picked Dr Casey Means. Furthermore, Loomer wants Attorney General Pam Bondi to be let go, but Trump may not consider hiring or firing someone based on one person’s opinion as unethical.
Loomer has so many controversial opinions , starting from the 9/11 theory, anti-muslim views or protesting at Nancy Pelosi’s property. She does not shy away from making a point even when it’s controversial. This may have been a reason she did not get a seat in the cabinet. The Trump administration has loyalists and Loomer was planning to be one of them.

However, she states that other staff members blocked her from getting a position in the administration. Moreover, it may also be Trump’s decision since, at the end of the day, she does have a questionable stance on several things. She often posts offensive things online and resorts to half-hearted apologies to make up for it.
Sometimes, her opinions clash with Trump’s. Recently, Trump posted wishing well to cancer-ridden Joe Biden. Loomer sarcastically posted this to her followers, as she already suspected he had been sick for over a year. Her future with the Trump administration is not certain.
According to rumors, Trump may have sidelined her due to her cosmetic surgeries as he disapproves of people who get it. But then that will be contradictory to several White House women who have enhanced features.
