The woman reportedly engaged in a viral social media trend where AI would interpret coffee grounds to predict the future. After making her drink and submitting the images, ChatGPT gave a shocking response: her Greek husband was either thinking about or was involved with another woman.
As per the Free Press Journal, the popular AI tool said that the woman’s husband was thinking of a woman whose name starts with E and will either start a potential affair with her or is already in one. When the woman confronted her husband with these AI-generated insights, he was quick to dismiss them as “nonsense.” However, she chose to trust the AI over her husband, leading her to file for divorce.
The couple, who had been married for 12 years, is presently sorting out the issue in a legal battle, and the husband’s lawyer argued against the divorce, claiming that AI-generated statements cannot be considered legally valid evidence in court. “He is innocent until proven otherwise,” the lawyer stated. This happens to be the first time something as bizarre as this incident made headlines.
It’s shocking to see that while AI tools like ChatGPT were used to pass commands like fashion hacks, write codes and academic essays, and much more, they have now become a reason for separation between spouses.
However, the woman’s husband, speaking to a local television station, dismissed the allegations as baseless. “I laughed it off as nonsense. But she took it seriously. She asked me to leave, told our kids we were getting divorced, and then I got a call from a lawyer. That’s when I realised this wasn’t just a phase,” he said.

As per sources, the husband of the lady further claimed that this is not the first time she has acted cynically and taken things so far; earlier, in a similar obsessive approach, she believed in astrological signs way too much until she was convinced that she could move in.
This embarrassing yet surprising story sparked backlash amongst Greek social media users, as several of them questioned the relevance of artificial intelligence in personal relationships.
