Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s public fallout wasn’t on the cards for 2025. The Tesla owner spent more than a quarter of a billion dollars to back the Republican leader’s election campaign last year. Subsequently, as Trump won and returned to the Oval Office for the second time in his political career, Musk joined hands with him to reshape the federal government as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
However, since his special government employee contract had expired, he suddenly changed sides and began criticizing Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
Just when people were settling down with the public fallout between the richest man in the world and the most powerful one, a new update has Americans scratching their heads. Many people now think that their “divorce” might not be a permanent and Elon Musk would actually make an U-turn to reconcile with his “best buddy.”
Recently, the tech mogul retweeted a photo of Donald Trump‘s Truth Social Post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. The post, which comes less than a week after the massive fallout, includes the U.S. President calling out California Governor Gavin Newsom.
“Governor Gavin Newscum and “Mayor” Bass should apologize to the people of Los Angeles for the absolutely horrible job that they have done, and this now includes the ongoing L.A. riots,” Trump wrote. “These are not protestors, they are troublemakers and insurrectionists,” he added. “Remember, NO MASKS!”
Elon Musk also reposted another Trump Truth Social rant where he ordered DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi to team up and end the riots.
Musk shared the post from JD Vance, who retweeted with the caption. “This moment calls for decisive leadership. The president will not tolerate rioting and violence.” The Tesla owner shared these posts without any captions, and only two American flag emojis were used.

However, people are now more confused than ever about Trump and Musk’s relationship status. Is Musk making a U-turn, that’s all everyone can think now. ”
“SO NOW YOU SUPPORT TRUMP AGAIN?” one user asked. Another added, “So you both are buddies now?” “Elon and Trump will be back together by the end of the week,” a third insisted.
Another MAGA supporter commented, “You and Trump made an excellent team, and I haven’t stopped crying and throwing up since you got into your fight. Please makeup and share an embracing hug. We need you right now.”

“I thought you hated Trump,” questioned a fourth. Another quipped, “Is this like an apology for the Epstein posts lmao?” referring to Musk claiming that Trump is in those files.
Whether we would truly witness their reunion is unpredictable. However, for now, the question remains unanswered.
