More and more fingers are pointing towards Donald Trump. The government shutdown has the nation split on who to blame for the failure to reach an agreement on the funding bill. As days pass by, with no development in sight, the President and his “dementia addled” self are being blamed.
Jack Cocchiarella alleged that it is the President’s mental health that is obstructing the two sides from reaching a conclusion. During his appearance, Cocchiarella also accused the 79-year-old of relying too much on Russell Vought and Stephen Miller.
The political commentator recently appeared on CNN, where he made scathing remarks about Trump’s inability to do his job. The comments were in response to him being asked if the Republicans or Democrats would be the ones to give in.
“It doesn’t seem like much of a give and take right now,” Cocchiarella noted. He went on to joke how the “only thing” Trump is “willing” to give was his ‘Trump 2028 hat.’
The commentator seemed to be referring to the fact that the President tried to mockingly gift the hats to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Cocchiarella’s criticism did not stop there, he went on to express doubts about the President’s mental health being intact. “Trump to me is kind of this dementia addled, really nursing home patient in the White House right now,” he said.

The political commentator accused the President of leaning on Vought and Miller because he “doesn’t want to get the job done.” Cocchiarella mocked the President for taking the current situation as an “opportunity” to go golfing, or even remodel a new part of the White House.
He accused Trump of not being interested in negotiating to end the government shutdown. Cocchiarella claimed that the President was taking “pleasure” in knowing that the federal workers would be traumatized in the process and also accused that to be the “goal” of Trump’s administration.
“And so it seems like that’s all they want to do,” he added. The political commentator spared the Democrats any criticism who “actually care” about the people, according to him. He also alleged that the Trump administration was one that did not “want to engage.”
The speculation about Trump possibly having dementia has been long-standing. Netizens are even convinced that his administration is covering up the news of his alleged mental decline.
White House physician Dr Sean Barbabella has even come forward to refute the theory. Barbabella attested that Trump “exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the commander-in-chief and head of state.”
Even the physician’s statements have done nothing to shut the theories down. Many still believe that the President is showing clear signs of cognitive decline. “Cocchiarella nails it. Trump has always wanted to cause chaos, run his cons, and grift as much as he can,” one netizen wrote after the CNN interview.
