Corey Lewandowski has grabbed the headlines once again. The man, one of President Donald Trump’s ardent loyalists, revealed in a text to Politico that this particular Granite State’s top job would be the only role worth giving up his current position for. Any guess? Well, it’s only when he would get the opportunity to run as the governor of New Hemisphere.
“Governor is the only job in politics I would ever consider giving up what I am currently doing for,” he told the outlet. The possibility of that could be there as New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte, a Republican, faces growing pressure from the Trump White House over her resistance to the president’s redistricting orders.

According to The Daily Beast, potential contenders’ options seem fewer as businessman Anthony DiLorenzo is considering a congressional run instead. Former Rep. Frank Guinta has bowed out, and State Sen. Dan Innis has opted out of the race alongside another person. Hence, that leaves Corey Lewandowski as a strong choice.
Corey has been a veteran of participating in Donald Trump’s campaigns and vigorously supporting his political ideology. He is currently at DHS, where he serves under Secretary Kristi Noem, with whom tabloids allegedly claimed that he has an affair.
Though the former South Dakota governor and Donald Trump’s ex-campaign manager have consistently denied romantic involvement, their frequent appearances have fueled the rumor more.
Consequently, in June 2025, the DHS formally announced Lewandowski’s appointment as Kristi Noem’s chief advisor. A recent New York magazine exposé described the department as “the Corey show,” with one lobbyist saying, “Everything has to go through Corey. It’s all based on ‘You’re my buddy, or you’re not my buddy.’ That place just runs that way.”
In addition, Kristi Noem reportedly has the final say, but Corey Lewandowski is handling the narrative. Lewandowski also accompanies Noem everywhere and is always by her side. Well, it’s rightly said that when a man is good-looking, successful, and knows how to manage the power dynamics in a team, everyone loves him.

Corey has been working on dismantling the Federal Emergency Management Agency despite opposition from Cameron Hamilton. Meanwhile, as Cameron Hamilton was terminated, people saw the former manager’s importance to the administration. He has also supported Trump’s immigration policies. As rapper Bad Bunny has been confirmed to perform during the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show, he warned people to be careful about deportations.
“There is nowhere you can provide a safe haven to people in this country illegally, not the Super Bowl and not anywhere else,” Corey said. He appeared on a conservative podcast stating that ICE will be “out in full force.”
Furthermore, as speculation about Corey running for the governor began, a series of assumptions flooded social media platforms. Despite the chatter, he dismissed the buzz on Wednesday that he was preparing to exit the agency to pursue the governorship and announced it on X(formerly Twitter).
“The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” He added, “Lots of Fake News out there… don’t believe the MSM,” he said.
