After Charlie Kirk’s assassination last month, many rushed to give his family their support and condolences. Political celebrities even praised the conservative activist for his work. Amongst the list of people who gave him tributes were figures like President Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Chris Pratt. However, what bothered many, including Megyn Kelly, was how every anchor at Fox News shared their condolences towards Kirk.
Since the incident, the news shows have continued to promote the activist and his nonprofit group, Turning Point USA, with several hosts even speaking at its events. Their adoration for the activist hasn’t diminished in the slightest. Even while most of their audience is enjoying the content, one podcast presenter has become irritated with them and started crying over the shooting news.
Megyn Kelly, however, is not someone who would keep her words and opinions confined. In her recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the journalist, who once worked for Fox News for over a decade, made some huge claims. She pondered upon the news show’s sudden praise of Kirk and found the support to be shocking. She reasoned her claim by saying that, for the past two years, it was Fox News that restricted Kirk’s appearance.

Megyn remarked that whatever is being portrayed now by the news network isn’t the truth. The relationship between Fox News and Charlie has been very different until now, she claimed. The host said, “It’s really bothering me how Fox News is talking about Charlie like he was theirs, like he was one of theirs, well, he wasn’t.”
Megyn expressed her anger by saying, “It’s a lie. Just stop.” The host seems outraged that the assassination of “one of the most important messengers” is being exploited for financial profit. She commented, “We have lost one of the most important voices that we’ve had in my lifetime on the right.”
“Someone sent by God to change minds and hearts on the most important, divisive, difficult issues of our time,” she concluded. Charlie was shot dead by a sniper at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10, just as he had begun to speak. Despite being critically ill when he was first admitted to the hospital, the wound finally took his life.
In the months before his passing, Charlie appeared on a number of Fox News shows, including Fox & Friends, Faulkner Focus, and The Will Cain Show. The last time the public witnessed him in a feud with Fox News was in December 2024. It was because the activist had barred the news program from Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest.
However, Kirk later expressed a wish to mend the ties that had been broken. “I love Fox,” he said. “They’ve been very good to me. I hope we can heal our relationship, because for whatever reason, it’s gone off the reservation.”
In addition to his many Fox News appearances, Charlie appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show more than 15 times, with the first appearance occurring in May 2023.

I remember after a school shooting where children were slaughtered, Charlie said “that the occasional gun violence was the price we pay as Americans for the 2nd Amendment”.
Those kids die so we can have our semi automatic rifles, bump stocks, etc. Charlie just took one for the team!
