A devastating incident took place at the Utah Valley University on Wednesday. Right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was addressing the students when he was tragically shot to death. The haunting moment was caught on camera and is being circulated on social media.
Donald Trump took to Truth Social to share the news. He captioned the post, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Kirk, 31, was in the middle of discussing gun violence in America, when the tragic event unfolded. The unidentified shooter is still at large. However, a possible suspect was arrested and then released on Wednesday after “an interrogation by law enforcement,” confirmed Kash Patel.
According to several video footage on the internet, an audience member asked him, “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last 10 years?” Kirk responded, “Counting or not counting gang violence.” Then, he was immediately shot on his neck as he collapsed from his chair. Reportedly, the shooter used a snipper to execute this horrifying act. According to a spokeswoman for Utah Valley University, Ellen Treanor, the suspect fired the shot from the Losee Center. The building stands at about 200 yards distance from the stage Kirk was speaking on.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead about an hour and half after the shooting. No other person was hurt by the attacker.
Right after the shooting, the audience scattered here and there before eventually steadying themselves. Several witnesses spoke up some time after the tragedy struck. And, they seemed to imply the attack was planned and targeted to Charlie, given no other harm was done. Witness Justin Hickens said, “We heard a big loud shot, I saw a bunch of blood come out of Charlie, I saw his body kind of kick back and go limp, and everybody dropped to the ground.”
Kirk was the CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA. The media company is known for engaging in controversial political topic discussions in liberal colleges.
Kirk leaves behind his wife Erika Frantzve and two young children.
