Donald Trump’s spray tan has once again become a topic of conversation. This time, even a significant diplomatic engagement has paled in comparison. Netizens are having a field day with the recent photos of the President. People could not help but note how “jarring” the President’s complexion is becoming day by day.
The photos were taken during Trump’s meeting with five African leaders at the White House. The meeting was convened to discuss the relationship between the United States and these nations to turn from a purely humanitarian aid-based one to a one where trade partnerships can be forged.
Leaders of Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania and Senegal were invited to join the discussion. Zthe three day summit is going to give the leaders of the nations to re-negoitiate the 10% tariffs that Trump has imposed on the nations.
Apart from crucial trade negotiations, there was one thing about the President’s appearance that garnered more attention than themeeting itself. People took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to note how Trump’s peculiar complexion made him stand out in the room.
“We’re shifting from A.I.D. to trade,” Trump said to set the agenda for the three-day summit. He also noted that Africa possesses the potential for economic advancement “like few other places.”

“Trump’s complexion is especially jarring when you see him next to other humans,” a netizen commented. Another noted how “unnatural” the President looked on the day.
“There are lighter shades of spray tan. Just throwing that out there…” a third suggested. Another quipped while claiming that Trump was using “shoe polish for makeup.” A user compared the President to a “Dehydrated tomato.” One netizen noted how Trump looked a “darker shade of orange” than his usual on the day.
Several others noted how his appearance made him look like he was “melting.” While others took objection to the original post referring to the President as a “human.” One user commented, “You can’t compare Trump to a human being.” A second questioned while writing, “…he is human?”

Some netizens simply drew a parallel between the President and a group of fictional characters. Several X users simply commented GIFs of Oompa Loompas from the 1971 hit movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
This isn’t even the first time the President has had misfortune when it comes to spray tans. Netizens have endlessly trolled the President for his increasingly peculiar spray tan jobs. Sometimes orange and mostly copperish, Trump has managed to trend on the internet several times in recent months.
