The first lady, Melania Trump, has been slammed for sending her “thoughts” and “prayers” to the people becoming victims of the devastating flash floods in Texas. As per reports a minimum of 51 people have been killed along with 27 girls residing for their summer camp at the Kerr Country are now missing concerning the destructive, fast-moving waters which rose at a level of 26 feet (8 meters) on the Guadalupe River and all these happened literally happened just 45 minutes before daybreak Friday.
She addressed the fierce natural disaster on her X handle on Saturday, saying – “My heart goes out to the parents in Texas during this difficult time. I am holding you in my thoughts and sending prayers for strength, comfort, and resilience.”
Eventually, the post countered a huge backlash as critics are of the view that thoughts and prayers were not enough to cover up her husband’s huge budget cuts, for which the federal forecasters and the disaster response agencies have been greatly affected.
“Your husband cut aid for natural disasters. Your thoughts and prayers can go right up your a–,” one person responded. “How about demanding that @realDonaldTrump STOP defunding FEMA and provide these folks with some REAL help and NOT ‘thoughts and prayers,'” a second wrote.
A third asked: “Are you going to apologize for Trump’s gutting of NOAA and the NWS, which clearly put people in Texas at greater risk? How many lives could have been saved by timely warnings – or would that be ‘socialism’?”
Another person said – “How about telling Donny to give back the money to FEMA and NOAA? Thoughts and prayers don’t do a whole lot!” Several other people also slammed Melania Trump for dancing with Donald Trump during Fourth of July celebrations while the deadly floods raged.

“They’ve already seen the vids of you dancing on the balcony while their children were dying. Siddown,” one responded. Another added: “Then stop dancing with your loser husband and show some respect to the victims in Texas. Remember where you came from.”
The President, in a statement posted to Truth Social on Saturday, said, “The Trump Administration is working with State and Local Officials on the ground in Texas in response to the tragic flooding that took place yesterday. Our Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, will be there shortly.
It continued with – “Melania and I are praying for all of the families impacted by this horrible tragedy. Our Brave First Responders are on site doing what they do best. GOD BLESS THE FAMILIES, AND GOD BLESS TEXAS!”

As per the statements from the local and state officials in Texas, the National Weather Service wasn’t able to provide accurate forecasts before the catastrophic flood took place on Friday.
To add to the already grim scenario, people were more triggered concerning Melania’s statements as this event happened just months after Trump’s administration gutted the agency despite several experts warning that forecasts would suffer.
