The infamous feud of the once legendary couple of Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, over their French winery, Château Miraval, doesn’t seem to come to an end anytime soon.
The former couple finalized their divorce recently they are still engaged over a heated legal battle concerning the winery, where the actress sold her stake back in 2021, that too without her husband’s consent. Concerning all that, Brad Pitt is now seeking to depose Angelina Jolie’s company, which is known as Nouvel LLC, via which the sale of her stake went through.
Reports state that Pitt is also seeking testimony from Tenute del Mondo, which is known as a Stoli Group subsidiary that has bought her former wife’s share.
It seems like the primary aim of all these is to uncover information on her company, Nouvel, as well as about the “initial investment in the winery” of the Stoli Group, along with “subsequent financial contributions to the home and winery at the heart of this dispute.”

Hence, in this legal filing, Pitt has accused Jolie of negotiating with him in bad faith and subsequently executing a deal with Stoli, maintaining secrecy. “On March 30, 2021, a lawyer for Stoli Group contacted Jolie’s California-based divorce lawyer to inquire whether she would be interested in selling her stake in Miraval,” the filing states.
It also says – “throughout May 2021, while Jolie was still purporting to negotiate with Pitt and Mark Perrin [Brad’s partner in Miraval], Stoli and Jolie continued to negotiate in secret.”
As per the document, the legal team of Angelina Jolie brought up “detailed feedback” with the Stoli group, and they are seemingly trying to outbid Pitt, confidently giving them an edge in the negotiations.
As per Brad Pitt, this underhanded tactic denied him the whopping chance of matching Jolie’s offer of $65 million, which was ultimately accepted, but kept hidden from him.
The winery dispute has also brought in their divorce case, which was filed back in 2016 and went on for a long time and eventually ended late last year.
James Simon, Angelina Jolie’s attorney, shared her feelings about closing that chapter. He said in a statement in an interview, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long, ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
Angelina Jolie leaves everything behind in 2025 and should be a celebration of her strength, patience and endurance.

On the other hand, for Pitt, it didn’t feel like this divorce was a big deal – “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing,” he told GQ Magazine. “Just something coming to fruition. Legally.”
Reports also say that he later reflected on his life choices at the premiere of his infamous action film “F1,” acknowledging he’d made mistakes along the way.
