Ivanka Trump was one of the high-profile guests invited to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding. However, by the looks of it, even after spending $40 million on the wedding, Lauren Sanchez won’t be the talk of the wedding. It will be Ivanka Trump.
During her time at the wedding of the century, Ivanka broke many social norms, and to be frank, she also broke the internet.
She arrived in Venice with more than just her husband and children. Ivanka brought with her a “Washington-style” security detail. It is understandable that there is a secret service detail for Ivanka Trump because she is the president Donald Trump‘s daughter, but the gossip is that her detail rivals that of many heads of state. It was also reported by The List that her extensive team clashed with Jeff Bezos’s own private security. It created a logistical nightmare and dampened the elegant wedding atmosphere.
One insider quipped, “She didn’t come alone; she brought Washington with her.” it clearly showed how her presence outshone the bride and groom.
It was also reported that thanks to Ms. Trump, Venice’s relaxed and authentic vibe turned into a military-style operation.
The wedding already had a monumental $40–50 million budget across multiple Venetian venues. This blatant display of money and privilege had already triggered environmental protests and heightened security measures.
Now, amid this backdrop, Ivanka’s protection team just added to the tensions. Reportedly, it stepped on Citi‑wide arrangements laid out by Bezos’s entourage. There was pressure on wedding planners to relocate certain events due to security and protest risks. Insiders believe this move was mostly to accommodate the Trump delegation.
Getting her own security is not the only social faux Ivanka made. Apparently, the eldest first daughter was not content with just an oversized security entourage. She also unintentionally (at least we hope so) turned heads with her attire. Ivanka was sporting a bold red midi dress with intricate patterns and a wide-brimmed hat upon arrival. She caught attention for all the wrong reasons.

This was not the only outfit that caught everyone’s attention. Apparently, Ivanka also donned a striking pink mini-dress that could be a version of a bridal outfit. We can not be sure if Ivanka knew what her dress looked like, but to us, it looked as if Ms. Trump stole the focus from the bride. Her presence was more than a social stride. It influenced the entire event’s operations.

This pink mini-dress brought more controversy with it. Ivanka Trump came under heavy criticism on Thursday for apparently doxxing the venue of the wedding. When Ivanka posted a picture of herself and her husband wearing this white number, she also posted a picture of a door with the room number 408 and Dolce Vista written on it.
It effectively gave away her and her family’s location. All that extra security couldn’t stop Ivanka from doxxing her own location.
The intention may have been to share a glamorous moment, however, online users quickly pointed out that the post potentially compromised security. It is dangerous not just for Ivanka and Jared Kushner, but for a guest list full of global celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Brady, the Kardashians, and Orlando Bloom.
“Did you just dox your location by posting that photo?” one user asked, echoing the concerns of hundreds of others who saw the post—which has since gone viral.
