Vice President of America, JD Vance, has been missing in action amidst the ongoing war between Israel and Iran, where the U.S. has recently stepped in under the leadership of Donald Trump. As expected, the war has only escalated with further tensions. When Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran via Truth Social, his announcement came with a five-word plea: “Please do not violate it!”

However, on June 24, 2025, Donald Trump reportedly blasted during a live press briefing before leaving for the NATO conference in The Hague. His helicopter. He slammed both Israel and Iran, accusing them of violating the ceasefire he had brokered earlier. “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f**k they’re doing,” he added.

As per The List, the agitated comments followed renewed tensions after Israel accused Iran of launching missiles into its airspace just hours after the ceasefire was supposed to begin. Amidst the drama, JD Vance took the opportunity to grab the spotlight. At an Ohio GOP dinner, he flipped his middle finger to the audience and said, “All the pink-haired people [in D.C.] throw up this sign, and I think that means ‘We’re number one.'”
He then paused to chuckle, waiting for the room to follow suit.

This statement seemed like an attempt to be witty and engage in a minute of double humor/mockery, just like President Donald Trump. It was yet another shot by JD Vance to mimic Trump’s no-filter style and make everyone around him awkward.

Usually, when the head of the state is upset, a sensible politician, as part of his immediate team, finds ways to handle the situation and not mock it. But JD Vance is not like that. Earlier this month, Vance joked on X (formerly Twitter) about his excitement with a laughing emoji, provoking critics to remind him of his role under the “Trump/Musk” administration. Donald Trump Jr. responded with a barb at ex-Vice President Mike Pence.

JD Vance also posted a pun about Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s falling out with Trump—tagging comedian Theo Von—and shared a curious theatre anecdote. He told his wife, Usha, he thought Les Misérables was Sweeney Todd, joking that she “hysterically” laughed.

“About to see Les Miserables with POTUS at the Kennedy Centre. Me to Usha: So what’s this about? A barber who kills people? Usha [hysterical laughter],” he posted on X.  Meanwhile, Usha Vance had already claimed that, just like Trump, JD has also picked up a similar style of talking. Fiery, blunt and too provocative to ignore.

The Yale graduate has caught the spotlight on X several times due to his direct and dominating statements, so much so that Usha has reportedly advised her husband to adopt a more polite and decent tone while writing his posts. Reportedly, media reports and eagle-eyed fans also dug out some scoop from the past, which revealed that JD Vance was also very judgmental about Trump during the early days of his presidency.

For example, in a 2016 New York Times op-ed, he stated, “Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation’s highest office.” Similarly, in another interview the same year with NPR, Vance said, “I can’t stomach Trump” and claimed that he believed that the republican candidate was leading the white class to a very dark place.

While the present situation tells an entirely different story and people are allowed to change their minds, we wonder what Vance really feels about Trump ruling the country today!
