Curiosity around the Epstein controversy has resurfaced. There have been several conversations and posts about the possibility of other important people such as President Trump being involved in these cases. However, his lawyer has something else to say.
Davis Schoen is the former Jeffrey Epstein lawyer. He was also an important part of the second impeachment of President Donald Trump. He has publicly denied that Donald Trump’s name is there in Epstein files. However, there are several reasons for David to lie and have a bias in the process.
Schoen recently had an interview with RadarOnline. During this interview, he forcefully claimed that he had no information to harm President Trump.
“I specifically asked him!” Schoen’s denial specifically addresses recent online speculations that Trump is involved in the long-running Epstein case. Schoen had also visited Epstein in jail before his controversial death in 2019. Thus proving that Epstein trusted him and not even once did he suggest that he had any influence over President Trump.

All of Schoen and Epstein’s statements over the years in the press are under strict scrutiny as public interest grows in the case. Several of Epstein files are yet to be released and many believe once released, it will reveal several high profile links to the case.
A few weeks back, Elon Musk tweeted about Donald Trump’s name being in the Epstein files. Though he has since deleted the tweet, the “internet” remembers. His suggestion of Trump’s name in Epstein’s files created an outrageous interest in the otherwise lukewarm case. A public outrage was created, and demands for the files to be released soon also sparked.

Though Musk provided no evidence to back up his claims, this accusation alone gathered enough interest from both Trump allies and critics. As a result, democratic lawmakers have again called for the complete declassification of Epstein files just like JFK and RFK files. There are few who have suggested the only reason Trump is not pushing to release the files is because there are some important names in there.
Jimmy Kimmel even satirized Trump being uncomfortable with Epstein-related queries. Meanwhile, many conservatives have dismissed Musk’s comments as politically motivated theater. Especially since it came after Elon Musk left the white house.

President Donald Trump has dismissed the revived charges as “irrelevant” and “rehashing old news.” In his most recent public statements, Trump has again taken Schoen as a reference to showcase his non-involvement in Epstein cases.
“He’s said it before—Epstein had nothing on me,” Trump claimed on Truth Social. Trump also maintained his previous statements, where he mentioned that he broke relations with Epstein years before the financier was arrested and committed himself in 2019.

There are flight logs and images demonstrating that the two were socially acquainted in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Yet there are no formal charges or credible allegations that have ever linked Trump to Epstein’s crimes.
Despite numerous document releases since 2020, the full content of Epstein’s FBI files largely remains unknown. The most recent batch was issued in early 2025 by Attorney General Pam Bondi. It had little new information which prompted many to label it a censored PR stunt rather than real disclosure.
Lawmakers and transparency activists have continued to press the FBI for the publication of Phase 2, which is expected to contain more explosive evidence. Yet there has been no such promise from the government’s side.
