A Chinese student, Zhenhao Zou, is sentenced to life with 22 years minimum in jail for r-ping ten women. He is termed as one of the most prolific predators hiding behind a mask of charm. He has drugged and r-ped women in China and the UK. Only ten victims have been identified yet, 3 in the UK and 7 in China, but it is believed that there are dozens more.
He may have attacked and targeted more than 60 women between 2019 to 2023, as per Daily Mail. The judge who sentenced him, Rosina Cottage KC, declared him a sexual predator behind a charming and manipulative mask. She called him a bright young man who was a sexual predator.
The Chinese student, Zou, planned his crimes well and executed them by treating women poorly. He used s-x toys and tortured the victims to assert power and control over them. His crimes are calculative and like an elaborate game for him. Moreover, according to the judge, he had no meaning of consent. There are videos of his crimes that he recorded using a hidden camera, and the court had to watch them as evidence.
There are gruesome details in the videos which are distressing and even made the jury weep. He has eleven counts of r-pe, out of which two are on the same victim. Moreover, he has charges of drug possession with intent to commit a sexual offense and three counts of voyeurism. Moreover, he had a box of women’s belongings in a trophy case. This behavior is similar to serial killers, as a result Zou is being called a serial r-pist.

He lured them into his flat, drugged them, and used hidden cameras to film the attacks.

During his true crime activities, he was living in London and studying at the University College. The 28-year-old serial r-pist is called a sexual deviant who attacked women for his own pleasure, leaving them helpless and with lifelong trauma. He is a risk to the public due to his sick, predatory nature. He went on to ask for chemical castration to avoid a life sentence. However, that did not work. He even flew back to China to avoid getting arrested.
He comes from a good family, as he’s the son of a rich Chinese communist party official. Zou used dating apps like Bumble, Tinder and WeChat to reach out to victims and would often spike their drinks. Moreover, his other tactics were to lure women for help in his studies and partying in his student apartment. His victims would often lose consciousness before his heinous acts.

They would wake up in the middle and ask him to stop, but he would still continue. He hid his predator nature behind his charming smile and even appeared on a dating show in China. One victim shared her experience as she has very little memory of the night and felt trapped in his room. She was confused and felt terror, looking for an exit once she gained some consciousness.
Other victims may not even remember anything related to the crime as they were drugged. But the video recordings and personal belongings like earrings, underwear, hair ties and socks from victims help confirm his crimes. One of the victims is relieved that he’s found guilty; however, she thinks he may not have learnt his lesson and may continue later with his twisted crimes.
