Donald Trump baffled netizens with his recent decision. A portrait of the President was seen hanging next to portraits of former FLOTUS. The questionable placement of the portrait was met with several questions from netizens. The decision is now being brutally trolled by people on the internet.
“New pictures, including one of @realDonaldTrump, on a White House wall where @HillaryClinton’s portrait used to hang next to the portrait of Laura Bush,” a post recently posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) read.
The post claimed that Hillary’s photo was replaced by Trump’s new portrait. The claim resulted in backlash targeted towards the President. The claim was evidently fake, considering that the former FLOTUS’s portrait was evidently visible in the photo.
The photo posted to X showed a red, white, and blue portrait of Trump in its newly instated position. The portrait now visibly hangs between portraits of First Lady Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton.
The portrait stood which is much more vibrant and loud compared to its neighboring frames, sticks out like a sore thumb in the setting. The X post was met with mixed reactions, mostly criticism from netizens.
Netizens who believed the false claim were not too pleased with Trump’s alleged actions. “While MAGA might eat this up, all it does is prove Trump is a fragile, thin-skinned manchild who cosplays as a tough-guy alpha. Not to mention he’s tacky AF,” one netizen wrote.
Notably, Clinton’s photo was in fact replaced, but not with a portrait of Trump like the viral post claimed. Hillary’s portrait was replaced by one of former First Lady Pat Nixon.

The newfound discovery did not save Trump from netizens’ criticism either. People were quick to question the unusual placement of the President’s portraits. The decision to put his portrait beside former FLOTUS’s left netizens baffled.
“So he’s a first lady,” one user wrote. “Well, he’s definitely feminine enough,” another added. A third netizen questioned if Trump was trying to tell the world that he is a First Lady.
The portrait that netizens have described as “hideous” is hung in the East Wing of the White House. Melania’s offices are located in the East Wing. The portrait will also be fully visible to the people attending the official White House tour.
The Daily Mail spoke to a White House staffer who labelled Trump’s portrait as “another iconic portrait.” The same individual noted that the President has the right to hang art “wherever he wants” because he was elected after surviving “two failed impeachment hoaxes, dozens of criminal charges, and multiple assassination attempts.

This isn’t the first time that the Trump administration has replaced a photo, causing controversy. A portrait of Barack Obama was replaced by a famous photo from the assassination attempt that Trump survived.
The photo taken at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, shows Trump pumping his fist in the air. The photo also features several Secret Service agents who are visibly trying to get the 78-year-old escorted off stage.
