Donald Trump’s ‘gift’ to the White House is being relentlessly mocked by netizens. The President previously revealed that he would be installing two flag poles on the grounds of the White House by Wednesday. Not only did he miss the deadline to build two, but the one he built was allegedly crooked. Here’s how netizens are reacting it the news.
Trump took to Truth Social on Tuesday to share how he had decided to “gift” two flag poles that would be installed on the grounds of the White House. “It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns,” his post read.
He went on to note how the flag poles were the one thing missing from the “magnificent” place. “The digging and placement of the poles will begin at 7:30 A.M. EST, tomorrow morning,” he concluded the post.
By the time Wednesday morning arrived, Trump had failed to uphold his promise. Only one of the two promised flag poles was installed in the lawns. Netizens even claimed that the installed pole bent in the wind.
“The really perfect part of this is that Trump promised there’d be 2 flag poles, they’d be done by 11 am, and that they’d be straight. There is 1, it was done after 1 pm, and it bends,” one user noted. Another user claimed that the pole was “ugly” and “ruins any pictures showing the front of the White House.”

“That looks hideous. Americans are proud, humble people. The flag that is on the top of the WH was all that was needed,” a third noted. “Crooked… just like the owner,” another added. Several other users noted how the flag “ruined” the place. Others urged the President to reconsider his “priorities.”
This wasn’t the only blunder the President made related to the flag poles. During the unveiling of the new flag pole, Trump’s distasteful joke raised eyebrows. Netizens attacked Trump for being “childish.”

During his chat with reporters, the President avoided saying the word “erect,” which caused X users to call him out. ” … It starts with an E. You know what the word is? If I ever used it, I’d be run out of town by you people. Alright, so enjoy it … ” he was heard saying. Eventually, he just ended up calling the ceremony the “lifting.”
The 78-year-old also ordered the construction of a pavement over the Rose Garden. He justified it by noting that the ground is always “soaking wet,” which has proven to be a problem for “the women with the high heels.”
