Trump welcomed his 79th with a double celebration in a military parade as it was also the 250th US Army anniversary. Trump entered the venue with the first lady Melania Trump holding hands. The two sat together during the parade at the Washington DC venue.
The viewers have observed that Melania was dozing off at the event. There are several photos and videos of her looking sleepy. In some shots, her eyes are shut; it is unclear if she’s actually sleeping or resting her eyes. On the other hand, these photos show that Trump is alert and not sleepy.
In another photo, Trump was seen saluting the parade members. On the other hand, Melania was sitting, and her face looked tired. Maybe she did not get much sleep the night before and ended up looking tired at the event. The parade was 90 minutes long and followed Trump’s birthday celebrations.
People were quick to point out that Melania was bored throughout the event. Maybe this isn’t how she wanted to spend her husband’s birthday. One viewer commented that the parade is the most boring thing on TV, so it’s no wonder that most of the attendees are almost asleep. This event was important to Trump as he had been bragging about it for a long time.

This was a $75 million parade with dozens of military vehicles, tanks, and more than 7000 soldiers with matching bands. There were also fireworks shows. The parade began when the first couple entered to perform a hail to the chief and twenty-one gun salute. Many World War II planes and helicopters were seen flying while army parachutes were flowing down.
Meanwhile there were protests for No Kings Day against the president. There was civil unrest, given the deployment of the army in LA and the immigrant crackdown. There were performances by the army drill team and army bands in a Latin music ensemble. Other artists include Lee Greenwood, Noah Hicks, DJ Nyla Symone and Warren Zeiders.

People are posting photos of Melania online while she looks bored and sleepy. An X user posted how Melania looked uninterested at the parade, asking her to pretend a little just for the troops even when she doesn’t want to be there. Earlier Trump was not sleeping but in one photo he is seen dozing off too. In the background there’s a girl eating the flag. So apart from the parade, viewers did get to see more than they expected at the event.
One user commented that Trump had fallen asleep at his own military parade. Another person who had a hard time staying awake was Marco Rubio. People are not happy as so many resources and tax money went to the parade, and Trump may still not be impressed. Some are also expecting an excuse from the MAGA for getting sleepy at the event.
