Not everyone who gets plastic surgery at a young age lives happily with the result for the rest of their lives. Take Kylie Jenner, for example: On a recent episode of the Hulu original series The Kardashians, she admitted that she got breast implants at the age of 19. However, she now regrets it.

Jenner revealed to her best friend, Stassie Karanikolau, that she underwent the procedure just before she got pregnant with her daughter, Stormi. The millionaire explained, “You know I got my breasts done before Stormi, within six months of having Stormi, not thinking I would have a child when I was 20. They were still healing,”

She added, “I had beautiful breasts. It is just gorgeous, the perfect size. I just wish I never got them done, to begin with.”

Notably, she is not the only celebrity who regrets having cosmetic surgeries at a young age. In an interview with Vogue last year, Bella Hadid confessed that she had a nose job when she was 14. However, she is not so happy with it now. “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” she lamented. Hadid, 25, added, “I think I would have grown into it.

Just like your favorite celebrities, there are more people who couldn’t live happily with their early plastic surgery procedures. Zoë, who is now 31, underwent a septorhinoplasty at 16. It is a procedure done to fix a deviated septum, which changes the appearance of one’s nose at the same time. “In middle school, a boy told me I had a big nose, and that unlocked a new insecurity,” Zoë recalled.

She revealed that although correcting the deviated septum was necessary, the nose job wasn’t. But at 16, it felt like an appealing idea to her. “I had a bump on the bridge of my nose and yearned for a tiny, smooth, upturned ‘pixie’ nose,” she revealed.

The woman added that although her family initially didn’t push her to get the plastic surgery done on her nose, with the encouragement of her surgeons, everyone got excited. However, she couldn’t be satisfied with the result. The healing process lasted for two years, and even after going under the knife, her nose remained a little crooked. Sure, it looks different now, but the thing that made her insecure remains.

Speaking with BuzzFeed, Zoë admitted, “I look back at pictures of my nose, and there was nothing wrong with it. I regret having it done. I was too young to make that decision. My brain and worldview were not developed. If I had waited until I was older, I definitely would have changed my mind.”

In Megan’s case, she got a breast implant like Kylie Jenner when she was just 18. She revealed that her left breast never developed like the right one, and although she wasn’t much bothered, it was her mother who pushed her into the idea of going under the knife, so she did.

However, 10 years later, she regrets it. Her breast didn’t heal the way she’d hoped it would. Megan says, “I was happy with my body, even my one undeveloped breast. I made jokes about it; my girlfriends knew and would make the occasional joke, but I was happy with it all.”

She now wants to fix it back, but at the same time, she is afraid of the idea of going under the knife again.

Anthony Youn, a board-certified plastic surgeon, talked about how teenagers are getting more serious about having plastic surgery early on. In most cases, they also know what they want, thanks to the internet.

“We’ve seen a rise in teens requesting procedures and either calling the office or DM’ing, and I do believe that social media plays a big part in this,” the surgeon told HuffPost.
