In a twist that adds personal flair to an already public political brawl, Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, inserted herself into the narrative. Albeit briefly and with a razor-sharp edge!
The 21-year-old trans activist, who legally disassociated from Musk in 2022, posted a video on her Instagram Stories on June 5, laughing while the words “I love being proven right” hovered above her head.
The jab came just as the feud between her father and U.S. President Donald Trump hit a new low over budget policies, electric vehicle subsidies, and even Epstein-related allegations.

Wilson, who’s lived largely abroad and distanced herself from her billionaire father, didn’t say much more, captioning the clip with a simple “I do not want to comment.” But those words (and that grin) spoke volumes. It’s a careful moment from someone who’s spent the last few years rejecting not just Musk’s name but also the wealth and politics he now represents.
Vivian’s post wasn’t the only shot fired from Musk’s inner circle. Ashley St. Clair, a conservative commentator and mother to one of Musk’s many children, took to X (formerly Twitter) to joke about Trump: “Lmk if you need any breakup advice.”
Their timing couldn’t have been more pointed!
The Elon vs. Trump Budget Bill Backlash
The Musk-Trump war of words began after Musk slammed Trump’s new budget bill (dubbed “big, beautiful” by the president) as a “disgusting abomination” in a June 3 post. He claimed it would deepen America’s debt while offering absurd tax breaks. It was also Musk’s first major public act after resigning from his role at DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency).
He didn’t stop there. Two days later, Musk agreed with an old Trump tweet saying no lawmaker should be reelected unless the budget is balanced.

Trump, appearing alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House, addressed the drama by calling their relationship effectively over. “I was surprised,” he said. “Elon’s upset because we took the EV mandate (…) I know that disturbed him.” Trump later posted on Truth Social that cutting Musk’s federal funding could save “billions and billions.”
Musk escalated further, accusing Trump of appearing in the unreleased Jeffrey Epstein files, allegations the White House dismissed. Meanwhile, Trump warned that if Musk backed Democrats running against Republicans who support the bill, there would be consequences.
A corporate tycoon and a sitting president dragged policy, ego, and family into the digital colosseum in a week. And, eyes wide open, Vivian took a front-row seat with popcorn in hand.
Vivian Wilson is No Longer Silent
Vivian Jenna Wilson’s Instagram quip didn’t come from nowhere. As Teen Vogue revealed in a March 2025 cover story, she has built a voice as bold as her wardrobe. Once deemed “killed by the woke mind virus” by her father during a now-infamous interview with Jordan Peterson, Wilson leaned into her internet-savvy resistance brand.
Her online persona is part Gen Z snark and part activist intellect, and it’s working.

While Musk remains focused on governing, downsizing federal agencies, and nurturing his ever-growing brood (14 kids and counting), Wilson is carving a different path. She’s living in Tokyo, learning languages, contemplating Twitch streaming, and dreaming of a spot on a reality show. She says she’s made “zero dollars and zero cents” from her fame, but she lives “rent-free” in plenty of people’s heads. Elon’s included.
Her latest laugh wasn’t just petty; it was political. Vivian is acutely aware that the feud between her father and Trump reflects a larger reality: an America shaped by two powerful men whose decisions impact the vulnerable communities she advocates for. But her father’s wealth or wrath no longer defines her story.
As her mother, Justine, told Teen Vogue, “She is big, fierce, wild, multi-layered magic.” And now she’s also a meme.
