Wedding guests were left shell-shocked after the bride dropped “dead” during her wedding toast. The alarming incident happened during a wedding ceremony that took place at Fairmont Banff in Canada. Guests were shocked for a second time when they found out that the bride’s death was staged.
A video that is now going viral on social media shows a Canadian woman “dying” in the middle of giving a toast at her own wedding. “I just wanted to take a second and thank you all so much for coming here,” she can be heard saying in the video.

She soon starts coughing, which raises alarm amongst the attendees. “We — I’m so sorry — grateful to have you here this evening. I’m so there’s — something stuck in my throat,” she says while coughing once again. The speech comes to an abrupt stop as the bride coughs once again and collapses on the floor.
“Oh my god,” she can be heard saying moments before she drops “dead.” As concern grows amongst the audience, someone can be heard saying, “She’s dead. She’s DEAD!!” In the clip, the groom can be seen rushing to the woman’s side.
Before the groom can get to his wife, who is on the floor, a man in a detective costume barges into the room. “Nobody move! My name is Bert Hamon from the Banff Police Department. I’ve been told there’s a—yeah, of course,” the man declares before showing the crowd his badge.

At that point, it was apparent that the “death” was staged and planned. The wedding guests and the groom were clearly put at ease by the man’s declaration. “I knew we were playing,” one of the wedding guests is heard saying, clearly understanding what is happening.
The caption of the video gave people more clarity on what was happening in the viral clip. “Our bride’s surprise murder mystery was one for the history books, and of course, she planned her entire rehearsal dinner theme,” the caption of the post read.
The caption went on to share how the decor of the venue consisted of a typewriter welcome sign, magnifying glass name tags, and moody florals and candles. “Her acting though? 10 out of 10!!!!” the caption noted.
