We all know Donald Trump‘s anti-trans views and how his administration has carried out executive orders to prevent trans people from getting rights. One major executive order involved excluding trans girls from women’s sports. After the order, the NCAA(National Collegiate Athletic Association) had to ban trans women from the sports.
If they hadn’t done this, the federal funds would have been cut for the schools.
Not just exclusion, but the NCAA also went on to strip records, awards and titles from trans women. Now, a tweet from Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, has resurfaced, which shows her support for women in sports. She shares the same views as her grandfather when it comes to trans rights. It makes sense that the Trump family will have the same views.
Kai’s post read how sports offer confidence, leadership skills, and strength to girls for life. She was grateful to have strong women to look up to for inspiration and noted its importance in supporting upcoming female athletes. She plays golf herself, and her message is loud and clear. There’s no space for biological males in female sports.
The tweet comes in light as Trump threatened California funding over Trans participation in the sports. His order to keep men out of women’s sports does not sit right with the trans community, among which a trans high school student, A.B. Hernandez, who qualified for the state track and field championship, has come to attention.
There is mixed support and backlash towards her. Women in sports are relieved they won’t have to compete with someone who’s not a biological female. However, this goes against trans people who are fighting to get equal rights.
Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day! Sports give girls confidence, strength, and leadership skills for life. I’m grateful to have strong women who inspire me, and I know how important it is to support the next generation of female athletes. Let’s keep chasing our dreams!

Since Trump wants the state championship for women to be free from trans athletes, he threatened to hold back the funding or stop it permanently if his orders aren’t followed. In the past, Trump also issued a ten-day ultimatum to the University of Pennsylvania that allows trans swimmers on women’s teams. Their funding was cut by $175 million, so it may happen to more institutes that do not follow his orders.
In the case of a trans athlete selected for the state competition, she won by a huge difference, which was ten feet. Her competitors’ parents are angry at this oversight of letting a trans player compete and deprive their kids of a chance to win.
Hernandez, a biological male, is good at the triple jump, high jump and long jump, defeating other female competitors in the sports. Trump’s stance on trans players will not change, and organizations will have to comply with that to prevent their funds from being cut off.

💬 “Well, we are the federal law. Well, you better do it. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funding at all if you don’t,” US President Donald Trump said to Maine Governor Janet Mills.… https://t.co/Xa7lDlFvPe pic.twitter.com/90pJLSjZaW

She kept her comment focused on women who play sports and serve as inspiration to others. Her views show she is passionate about sports and what it brings into a player’s life. However, she did not directly take a jab at the Tran players. Maybe this is why Trump is determined to make sports for women free from trans athletes so his new generation can get a fair chance.
Kai is set to start her college at Miami University, apart from being active in golf. His granddaughter may one day play sports professionally, and he does not want her competing with a trans woman. The activism against trans players is not new. We remember Fencer Stephanie Turner, who took a knee and refused to play against the trans opponent.
