Donald Trump's eating habits revealed in White House briefing

The briefing room at the White House lit up on Tuesday, May 20, as children of journalists and staff members got an opportunity to ask interesting questions about President Donald Trump. On the occasion of National ‘Take Your Child to Work Day,’ White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt hosted a briefing where she directly answered all the queries of the little kids.

While a few questions revolved around the state at the border and Trump’s schedule, some children were too keen to know the President’s eating habits. When asked about Trump’s favorite food, Karoline replied, “I think his favorite is probably steak. I’ve had steak on with him on many occasions and he likes to eat a big beautiful steak.”

A little kid was interested in knowing how much candy Trump eats in a day. Karoline smiled and said, “A good amount.” She added that Trump likes pink Starburst and Tootsie Rolls.

Highlighting his sweet tooth, Karoline also said, “I’ve seen the president eat ice cream sundaes with chocolate sauce and some toppings too.”

When talking about Donald Trump’s favorite food, it’s impossible not to mention McDonald’s. Anyone who follows updates about Trump would know how much he loves the fast food chain. A curious kid asked about Trump’s favorite order at McDonald’s. The press secretary told that the President loves McDonald’s hamburgers and French Fries.

Half of the 49 seats in the briefing room were occupied by children up to 11 years of age, while their proud parents stood at the side aisles and the back of the room. Questions about Trump’s actions on climate change, and mass firings were also raised by the little kids. Karoline answered each of the questions in simpler manner while adding a little touch of humor.

“How many people has he fired?” asked a kid. To this, Karoline took a small pause and replied with laughter, “Thus far, actually, we have not had anyone fired with the exception of one individual who did leave their job. But we have a great team here so far, so good.” By the time Karoline ended up finishing her answer, there was a weird silence in the room, and Karoline tried to bring back the energy by interacting with small kids.

A child wanted to know if Donald Trump likes to give hugs. Karoline replied, “I think, he does. I have seen him give many hugs to children and his family and our beautiful first lady.”

Another interesting question that came from the cute crowd in the room was — “Who is Donald Trump’s favorite president besides himself?”

Karoline agreed that it’s a good question “because it would be probably himself.” Also, knowing how much he criticizes his predecessors Barack Obama and Joe Biden, we bet everyone wanted to know the answer. Karoline said that Trump would probably name George Washington.

“I know he speaks very highly of George Washington who was of course the first president of our great country. And he has his big beautiful portrait hanging in the Oval Office above the fireplace,” Karoline explained.

The presence of children at the briefing brought a fresh and amusing lens on President Trump’s life. Kids were straightforward in their questions, be it about his eating habits or his work on important issues.
