Joe Biden was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday. The former President found out when he went to the doctor following urinary symptoms. The cancer has reportedly progressed and spread to his bones.
Biden’s office released a statement that revealed that his cancer is hormone-sensitive and “allows for effective management.” Dr Jamin Vinod Brahmbhatt, who is a urologist at Orlando Health Medical Group, discussed treatment options that are available to Biden at this point.
He noted how chemotherapy, steroids, and hormone therapy aren’t “curative” enough to fully get rid of the cancer. “There are more medical options to stabilise the patient and control the cancer,” the urologist shared. He added how the treatments never get rid of the cancer “completely.”
After the announcement, several political figures came forward to extend their sympathies to Biden and his family. The President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., was one of the many well-wishers. The 47-year-old took to X(formerly known as Twitter) to post a screengrab of the official statement while adding, “Agreed 100%.”
What came as a surprise was a second post, where Don Jr. accused Jill Biden of possibly covering her husband’s cancer diagnosis. “What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???” he added in the post.

Donald Trump Jr. seems to have missed the memo about the former First Lady holding a doctorate in education and not medicine. He continued the speculation while attaching a screenshot that mentioned that prostate cancer was the easiest type of cancer to detect.
The 47-year-old did not stop there. He replied to another post that speculated about Biden’s sickness being hidden from the public while he was still in office. “This is an effort to push the fact that Biden was running the country as vegetable under the rug,” one user wrote. Don Jr. simply replied to the post while writing, “Without question.”
President Trump himself took to Truth Social to express his sympathies towards Biden. He noted how the First Lady and he were “saddened to hear about” the news and wished the former President a speedy recovery. “We wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” he concluded.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris also addressed the news. The Democrat noted how she and her husband Doug Emhoff are keeping Biden in their “hearts and prayers.”

Barack Obama wished Biden a “fast and full recovery.” He added that he and Michelle were thinking of the family. “Nobody has done more to find breakthrough treatments for cancer in all its forms than Joe, and I am certain he will fight this challenge with his trademark resolve and grace,” he added.
Biden rewrote history by becoming the oldest serving President in US history. When he expressed his wish to run for President for a second time, his decision was met with hesitation. Concerns about his age and health were expressed, which eventually made him drop out of the race.
