There are a few key features of Donald Trump’s presidency. Among those are leaked information and secret recordings of previous administrations. Recently, audio recordings from interviews between President Joe Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur have surfaced.
These recordings have raised questions about Biden’s cognitive abilities. These recordings are from a six-hour session in October 2023. They provide a very close and troubling look into Biden’s mental state during the discussion. One can hear Joe Biden struggle with basic personal information. This included the date of his son Beau’s death. This raised questions about the President’s memory and coherence.
There were several moments where one could hear Biden struggle. However, one particular instant which shocked everyone was when Joe Biden asked in which month his son, Beau Biden, died? His lawyer was present during the interview, and he had to remind him that Beau Biden passed away on May 30, 2015.
The President also appeared to be confused when discussing the timeline of his vice presidency and the year Donald Trump was elected. At several points, the recordings capture long silences and mumbling. These reinforced the idea of disorientation and mental fatigue.

These memory lapses have intensified scrutiny over Biden’s mental capability. The Biden representatives have condemned the release of the audio as a politically motivated maneuver. Especially when Joe Biden is no longer in office. These attacks on the former President are unnecessary and serve no purpose.
However, his representatives have also said that the Trump administration’s attempt to prove that the then-President was unfit to serve the nation during his time in the office is a cheap shot.
His officials argued that Biden’s speech patterns and occasional verbal stumbles come from a long-standing stutter, not cognitive decline. They also claimed that isolated lapses in memory are being unfairly magnified. Things are getting taken out of context to support Trump’s narrative.
I’ve been listening to the entire interview all morning. There’s a reason they only leaked about 5 minutes of clips yesterday—because the rest shows Biden clearly recalling years old events, talking knowledgeable about complex issues like cancer research and being a genuinely… https://t.co/K6KpoRHbWr

One could see the release of these audio clips as the promotion of an upcoming book. CNN anchor and writer Jake Tapper will soon be releasing his book titled Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.
The book sharply criticizes Biden’s decision to seek re-election. It suggests that the democratic party either denied or concealed his health struggles. The authors argue that the political agencies of the Democratic Party have ignored red flags surrounding Biden’s mental fitness.
Ironically, while these recordings give the rumors of Biden’s presumptive dementia hypothesis some legs to walk on, they also give a foundation to judge Donald Trump’s behavior throughout his campaign and his days in his second term.
Cognitive Doctor discusses Trump’s Brain Damage
It’s not a joke, it’s not sarcasm.
“This is a neurological smoking gun.”

Donald Trump has frequently forgotten names, places he was at, dates, and even words. If Biden forgetting one date is a sign of dementia, Donald Trump saying that he invented the word ”equaliizing” could prove his diagnosis.
Donald Trump himself has reportedly expressed personal fears about developing dementia, citing his father’s battle with Alzheimer’s.
These audios and possible diagnoses have raised the most important question. Should there be a capping age for presidential candidates? After a certain age, even politicians should hang up their boots and retire for the good of the country and its people.
