We all have a love-hate relationship with getting tan. On many occasions, he appears almost orange or bronzed, attempting to present it as his own skin color. But now, there’s another person inside the White House who takes inspiration from him. Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary, is famous for always defending the Republican President in front of the world media. She goes to extreme lengths to present him as a good leader, backing all of his bizarre orders and policies.
However, maybe that is not enough to get to Trump‘s good side. Leavitt had a “White House makeover” as soon as she joined the administration. She also follows many “rules” of “Republican makeup”, including dressing way older than a 27-year-old. But she probably made some massive blunders when getting a tan.
It seems like she just can’t get it right, from uneven lines to the orange hue. Her tan fails are all over the map.
Leavitt’s White House Christmas Gone Wrong
Long before Leavitt officially joined the Trump administration, she had already been interning at the White House during his first term. In December 2020, she posted a photo on Instagram from the lavish Christmas celebration. She was very tan in the photo, but it looked more strange because she wore mismatched makeup on top of it. Her body and face barely matched each other, giving her a strange look that was definitely not suitable for Christmas Eve.
Karoline Poses With Uneven Sun-tan
This seemed like a situation where Karoline Leavitt actually got a natural tan from sunbathing. However, she had a seriously uneven tan, with her arms and face leaving out the neck from looking sun-kissed. Another photo from her same TV appearance exposed her legs, which also didn’t match with the rest of her body.

Her Fake Tan Faux Pas
If you are a fan of getting a spray tan, you would know that it is extremely important to pay attention to your hands, in case you are not wearing gloves or mittens all the time. However, in Leavitt’s case, her hands were a dead giveaway. On this Valentine’s Day, Karoline shared a photo with her baby on Instagram, where she is seen lifting her son up to give him a kiss on the cheek. These photos exposed how pale her hands were compared to her face, marking another bad tan fail.

Leavitt Missed Her Forearms
At this point, we already have an idea that Karoline might not be that good at getting a tan. In July 2024, she shared a mirror selfie with her then-2-week-old son. In the picture, Leavitt’s forearms were much lighter than the rest of her body. While it did look like a natural tan, she needs to get better at fixing uneven lines.
Just All Wrong Shade
We have to agree that Donald Trump loves to get as orange as possible. At times, his White House Press Secretary also followed in his footsteps. Even though she doesn’t share her boss’ orange hue, in September 2024, she got a weird tan that didn’t really resemble a real skin tone.
