Human remains were discovered near Taylor Swift‘s beachside mansion, as fears of a potential serial killer spiral throughout the town of Westerly, in southwest Rhode Island. According to various reports, a new suspected human bone washed up, marking it as the 13th body discovered in the area in the last three months.
The investigators have yet to officially confirm the identity of the remains. As the details of the gruesome scenes began surfacing, a new panic started at Westerly. The new findings came after local authorities were called to the Watch Hill neighborhood at about 9:30 am local time on Wednesday. NBC affiliate WJAR reported that a human leg bone was likely found on that day.
The Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office is currently examining the remains, as revealed by the Westerly Police Department Detective Division. After the new remains were found, chaos ensued with various people coming forward with more details.
Taylor Day, who is a neighbor of Swift, said that she saw three police cars and a medical examiner “pulling in” behind her. “It was probably a couple football fields away from Taylor Swift’s house and the Ocean House,” she added.
“I would never expect anything like that, especially not in Watch Hill. “It kind of alarmed me, and it was just something very out of the ordinary for Westerly.” She also disagreed with the cops suspecting that there had been some foul play. “I think finding a leg is very suspicious,” she said.
Taylor Day emphasized how unsettling the whole ordeal is for her and many other residents in that area. “I don’t go places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant,” she revealed that she is being extra cautious now. Day also “immediately” paid attention to all the theories that are being discussed now, after the shocking discovery was made.

Notably, 12 remains have already been found in and around that area in the last three months. According to the Northeastern Global News, over a period of several months this year, bodies have been discovered in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, igniting fear of a serial killer hiding among the crowd. Officials have so far dismissed all the theories as “internet rumor.”
According to Fox News, the body of Stephen Myers, 39, was found behind a school in Massachusetts in late April. According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Myers was fatally shot behind. Before the human leg washed up, it was the 12th discovery in the New England area.
