An overwhelming number of leftists have voted in favor of killing Donald Trump. A new survey showed just how many self-identified leftists dislike the President of the United States.
The recent survey has shed light on the fact of just how many Americans support political violence. The survey conducted by the Network Contagion Research Institute revealed shocking statistics regarding the same.
1,264 U.S. residents in total were surveyed to gather data. “A lot of folks on the left are probably feeling a sense of hopelessness or despair following the election loss,” said Dr. Stanley Schwartz, who is a history professor at Cedarville University.
Out of the total survey takers, 38% of the people said it is “somewhat justified” to murder Donald Trump, and 31% voted in favour of murdering Elon Musk. Notably, when the same survey was taken by people leaning more towards the left, the results changed.
48% of the left-leaning group said it was “somewhat justified” to murder Trump. 55% said it was justifiable to kill the Republican. The survey proved that “assassination culture” seems to be on the rise, with more and more people condoning it.
Professor Schwartz noted how people are now in an era of “authoritarianism.” He also pointed out how people are growing averse to the idea of “persuasion” and “calm negotiation.” He concluded, saying, “Temperatures are rising.”
The sudden rise in political violence could be a result of the left feeling the frustration of Trump’s triumph, combined with the failed attempt on his life. An attempt to murder the 78-year-old was made last year on July 13. He was speaking at an open-air rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The now-President was shot and sustained a wound on his ear. It was later reported that a man named Thomas Matthew Crooks had used an AR–15–style rifle to fire shots at the Republican.
Matt Kittle, who works as a senior elections correspondent, explained how the country has been “politically divided,” which might evoke violent thoughts in people’s heads. “Trump 2.0 has sent the unhinged left over the violent edge,” Kittle, who works for The Federalist, noted.
The correspondent also went on to note how unsurprised he was at the results of the survey given the left’s behavior over the past decade. Kittle accused the left and their contacts in mainstream media of normalising political violence over the last 10 years.

He presented people’s “hatred” for Elon Musk as a “real-time” example of what he was speaking of. “Overheated rhetoric turning into violent action,” he added. Kittle went on to explain how the violent ideologies of the left might be here to stay because of the lack of power.
The senior elections correspondent explained how, since the Democratic Party is not in power, the Democrats seem like they would be ready to do “anything to get back into power.”
